After the ICC Women's World Cup 2024, the Indian women's team led by Harmanpreet Kaur will play a three-match ODI series against New Zealand at home. All these matches will be day-night and the matches will start at 1:30 pm. This tournament will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad from 24 to 29 October.
The matches between the two teams will be played on 24 (Thursday), 27 (Sunday) and 29 (Tuesday) October. This tournament will be important for the Indian team to strengthen its preparations before the upcoming ODI World Cup. This series will also be important for New Zealand as they look to qualify for the Women's ODI World Cup in 2025. Currently, only teams from India, Australia, South Africa and England have been able to qualify for the premier event. Interestingly, New Zealand men's and women's teams will tour India together. The men's team will play a three-match series between October 16 and November 5.
During these three ODI matches being played in Ahmedabad, school girls can be given free entry through iCard, just like the ICC has given free entry to under-19 school girls and women in the Women's T20 World Cup currently being played in UAE. Free entry is given. It is believed that Gujarat Cricket Association has also invited most of the schools in Ahmedabad to bring their school girls to watch the match.
