Velavadar Blackbug National Park: According to information given by Bhavnagar-based Assistant Conservator of Forests, Kaliyar National Park, Velavadar, the national park will be open to visitors from sunrise to sunset from October 16, 2024.
All the wildlife lovers and visitors can visit this national park on wall holidays. It is worth mentioning here that the Black Antelope Wildlife Sanctuary in Bhavnagar district is a priceless sight.
Kaliyar National Park is a priceless view of the Bhal region and especially Bhavnagar district. The biodiversity here is a center of attraction for people to study. Apart from the freely roaming blackbuck, the area and its wildlife are well protected by conservation and public support. Whereas the number of wild animals like wolf and Khadimur is decreasing all over India.
The area is a sanctuary for migratory birds especially from October to February. This national park is famous throughout the world due to the communal nocturnal breeding of birds of the Harrier clan (Pattaio).

Shortest Personal Life of Ghorad Dynasty The name “Khadmor” (Lesser Florican) suggests that “Khad” means grassy peacock, this bird is most rare in the country and is found in Park Velavadar.
Sometimes Velavadar can also be seen in the nearby jowar fields. Exact details of migration patterns and locations of Hai Khadmor are not yet available but research is currently underway. The dance performed by the male Khedmor in the grasslands to woo the female Khedmor is very spectacular.

Accommodation Booking for overnight stay will be available to tourists only in hostels owned by Eco Tourism Development Committee, Velavadar. Booking to visit the national park can be done online through Girlion.gujarat.gov.in portal.
Safari lodges/resorts like EDC run hostels, Blackbuck Safari Lodge, The Blackbuck Lodge are also available for accommodation. It can also be booked in person directly from the National Park Welcome Centre. Gypsies for safari are also available at all resorts and park entrances. Tourists have to pay an entrance fee, as well as guide fees and professional camera fees.
