The new selection committee of PCB decided to drop Babar Azam from the team in view of his poor performance. The Pakistani team is divided into two parts on the PCB's decision to drop Babar. Many Pakistani players including Test team coach Jason Gillespie are angry with this decision.
Cricketers sitting outside the Pakistan team have also targeted the PCB over its decision to drop Babar Azam. Although many Pakistani cricketers are not happy with the PCB, Australian cricketer Brad Hogg believes that whatever the PCB did was good.

But, the attitude of many Pakistani players is unhappy with this decision. Fakhar Zaman said that when Virat was going through a bad phase. Despite his average of 19.33, Team India did not bench him. The absence of their best batsman has had a negative impact on the morale of the team. This will be the second time since his debut in 2016 and the first time since June 2018 that Babar Azam has been dropped from the team. Whereas Pak team will be seen playing any test without him.
