Fatehabad, 12 October (Hindustan Reporter) In Tohana city of the district, the driver working for a rice trader escaped after stealing cash worth lakhs of rupees kept in the shop. As soon as information was received in this matter, Tohana police team reached the spot and started investigation.
In the complaint given to the police on Saturday, Purushottam Jindal, resident of Naya Padav district Rohtak, has said that he now lives in Tohana. He sells rice here in the old grain market under the name of Sapna Enterprises.
Anand resident of Birthi Kalan hall, Kalanaur, district Rohtak works as a driver. He said that last day he had received payment from two businessmen. The payment of one of these was Rs 9 lakh 46 thousand 500 while the other payment was not handled by him.
He had kept both the payments in the cupboard. In the evening when he went down to have tea his driver was at the shop. The businessman alleged that driver Anand, taking the opportunity, stole the said amount kept in the cupboard and ran away from the spot. When he came to the shop, he saw that Anand was not there and the payment kept in the cupboard was also missing. After this, they searched many places for driver Anand but could not find him anywhere. On this he lodged a complaint with the police regarding this. In this matter, the police have registered a case against the accused and started investigation.
