HSPCB regional officer Shakti Singh said that it is mandatory to register construction and demolition activities on an area of ​​500 square meters or more. He said that as soon as the air quality index crosses 200, the restrictions of the first phase of GREP will come into effect. Instructions have been given to install anti-smog guns at the construction sites and all the construction sites will have to upload at least two self-audits on the web portal every month and do video fencing of the project. It is stated that low cost PM 10 and PM 2.5 sensors should be installed along with PTZ based web cameras for live feed of the project and the building material should be covered with windproof wall/green curtain to prevent air leakage. The Board has given instructions that there should be one anti-smog gun on construction and demolition sites of 5,000 to 10,000 square meters and two anti-smog guns on construction and demolition sites of 10,100 to 15,000 square meters. It has been clarified that there should be three anti smog guns on construction and demolition sites of 15 thousand to 20 thousand square meters and four anti smog guns on construction and demolition sites of more than 20 thousand square meters.
