Additional Chief Secretary and officer in-charge of the district, Vineet Garg has instructed the district officials that paddy should be purchased in all the mandis of the district as per the rules laid down by the government and payment for the purchased crop should be made to the farmers within the stipulated time period. Farmers and traders should not face any problem in purchasing paddy.
ACS Vineet Garg was holding a review meeting of district officials and procurement agency managers on Friday at the Public Works Rest House located on Bhuna Road. After this he visited the new additional grain market of Fatehabad and observed the paddy procurement operations. During the tour, he also listened carefully to the problems of the brokers and farmers and instructed the concerned officials to solve the problems on priority basis.
While reviewing the arrangements related to crop procurement in the district, Additional Chief Secretary reviewed the information recorded on Meri Fasal-Mera Byora portal, market wise arrangements for the convenience of farmers, preparations of procurement agency, arrival and lifting of crops and payment of crops to farmers etc. Took detailed information related to. He said that the farmers who bring paddy to the market should be paid within the stipulated time as per the instructions of the government. Besides, the work of lifting along with purchase in the market should also be expedited. He also instructed the officials of the concerned department to check the grain market from time to time. Everyone should make concrete arrangements so that no agent or farmer faces any problem in selling crops. He instructed the officials to make the farmers aware about stubble management and also to give information about the incentive amount given by the government to the farmers doing stubble management.
During the meeting at PWD Rest House, ADC Rahul Modi and other officers gave detailed information to the ACS about the arrangements made by the district administration regarding the purchase of paddy and other crops in the district. He said that farmers will not face any kind of problem in selling their crops and payment for the purchased crops will also be made to the farmers on time. On this occasion, SDM Dr. Jaiveer Yadav, DDPO Anup Singh, DFSC Vineet Jain, DDA Dr. Rajesh Sihag, DM HAFED Rajesh Hooda, DM HWC Sumit and secretaries of all market committees etc. were present.
