According to PTI, the Indian captain may miss a match of the Test series against Australia due to personal reasons. Captain Rohit Sharma has given this information to BCCI. However, no official statement has been issued by BCCI yet.
Australia tour will start from 22nd November
The Indian team will start the Australia tour with the Test to be played in Perth on 22 November. There is a possibility that Rohit Sharma may be out of the first or second match of the series to be held in Adelaide between 6 to 10 December.

According to the report, a BCCI source said, “The situation is not completely clear right now. Rohit has informed the BCCI that there is a possibility that he may miss one of the first two Test matches due to personal reasons. If personal issues are resolved before the start of the series, he can play all five Tests. Its picture may become clear in the coming days.
Abhimanyu Easwaran may get a chance
It is noteworthy that Indian captain Rohit Sharma was last seen playing in the home Test series against Bangladesh. Now he will be seen captaining Team India in the three-Test series against New Zealand starting from October 16. If Rohit is unable to play the Test match in Australia, then in-form Abhimanyu Easwaran can take his place. Whereas, KL Rahul can be seen opening with Shubhman Gill.
