Places to visit near Statue of Unity: The tallest statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who was the first Home Minister of the country and is known as the Iron Man across the world, has been constructed in Gujarat. The height of this statue is 182 meters and it is located at Sadhu Bet near Sardar Sarovar Dam in Narmada district.
It took 45 months to complete the Statue of Unity and 24 thousand tons of iron was used. It is spread over 20,000 square meters in Prati. Rs 2,989 crore was spent in preparing the statue of Sardar Patel.
The Statue of Unity is open every day of the week from 9 am to 6 pm. With admission, you can visit the Valley of Flowers, Sardar Patel Memorial, Museum, Statue of Unity Site with Audio-Visual Gallery and Sardar Sarovar Dam.
To see the Statue of Unity, you can book online tickets as well as offline tickets. The ticket fee to see the Statue of Unity is Rs. 60 to Rs. Upto 350.
The statue has a laser lighting system, which keeps shining day and night. A high speed lift has been installed at the lower part of the statue, through which the statue can be seen at a height of 400 feet.
