This time, under the aegis of Shri Ram Mandir Pranyas Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha, at the Dussehra grounds of Adarsh Nagar in the city, under the Dussehra festival, a 105 feet high Ravana will be burnt and at the same time, a 90 feet high effigy of Kumbhakarna will be burnt. After Ravana Dahan, the coronation of Lord Shri Ram will take place in Shri Ram temple.
According to Anil Khurana, Secretary of Shri Ram Mandir Pranyas Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha, this time also Ravana's crown will be a special attraction here. The artisans are giving final touches to the effigies of Ravana and Kumbhakarna in the Dussehra grounds. Apart from this, more lighting has been done in the effigies of Ravana and Kumbhakarna than before. This time too, spectacular fireworks have been arranged. At the time of Ravana Dahan, flames will come out of Ravana's eyes and balls of fire will come out of his mouth. At the same time, fire chakra will run on Ravana's navel and head and sparks will burst from the sword. Ravana's ten heads will be destroyed in fire one by one.
It is noteworthy that Dussehra festival is being celebrated since 1956 by Shri Ram Mandir Pranyas Shri Sanatan Dharma Sabha at Dussehra grounds of Adarsh Nagar.
