Hyderabad, 10 October (Hindustan Reporter). Telangana State IT and Industry Minister Sridhar Babu has expressed grief over the demise of industrialist Ratan Tata. He said that Ratan Tata, a true legend of Indian industry, will be remembered for his outstanding contribution to the development of high-end manufacturing in Hyderabad. He also recalled his encouragement for the development of industrial ecosystem in Telangana.
Through his social media handle 'X', Sridhar Babu reiterated that in 2008 we lost the Nano car project to Gujarat. The then CM Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy wrote a letter to him to express his disappointment. He replied that he had something bigger in mind for Hyderabad and thus was born the Sikorsky Helicopter Project at Adibhatla near Hyderabad, which today has become a global aerospace cluster thanks to the flagship industry of Tata Advanced Systems.
Industries Minister Sridhar Babu said that Ratanji Tata was very impressed by Hyderabad's Outer Ring Road (ORR) and while driving on it, he had remarked that he could land a plane on it. He said that in the memory of Ratanji Tata, the State Government would consider it appropriate to pay tribute to his memory by considering naming the approach road from ORR to Adibhatla as Ratan Tata Marg, so that his soul rests in peace and he continues to inspire us.
