The Union Finance Ministry said that schemes like PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme are encouraging common citizens and their families. As per the current benchmark prices, this means a subsidy of Rs 30,000 for a 1 kW system, Rs 60,000 for a 2 kW system and Rs 78,000 for a 3 kW or more system. Subsidy will also be available from the state government.
For example, if you get a one kilowatt connection, you will have to spend Rs 65,000. In this, the central government will give a subsidy of Rs 3000 and the state government will give a subsidy of Rs 15,000.
