Jaipur, 9 October (Hindustan Reporter). Chhath fair was held at Shila Mata temple of Amer on Shashti Tithi of Shardiya Navratri. A large number of devotees came to have darshan of Matarani. There was a continuous flow of visitors from morning till night. Even before the doors of the temple opened, visitors were standing in queues to have darshan. Devotees of Mata from far away places came to have darshan with flags in their hands and cheering. At the same time, many devotees came to pay obeisance and attend the court of Mata. The women took red chunri, makeup material, coconut and flag and offered them to Shila Mata. On Shashthi, the tableau of Phool Bungalow was decorated with special decoration of Shila Mata. Nisha puja was performed at 10 pm on Saptami day. Special worship of the Queen was performed by the members of the former royal family.
