Raipur, 9 October (Hindustan Reporter). Extensive awareness campaigns are being run in Dhamtari district of Chhattisgarh regarding water conservation and Ayurveda. Here a special effort has been made to promote Ayurvedic medicine and naturopathy. This is the first innovation of its kind in the state.

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has appreciated this innovation of the AYUSH Department and Dhamtari District Administration and asked them to naturalize as much forest wealth as possible and make people aware about Ayurveda. Under this initiative, the district administration has established Ayush Rasshala (medicinal drink centre) especially in Vannachal village Singpur (Butigarh) of the district to include Ayurveda in the lives of the local people.

Plants with medicinal properties are naturally found in Butigarh area, hence a herbarium is being constructed here. A juice house is being built for the cultivation, propagation and utilization of plants having medicinal properties. Through this Rasshala, local people, students and tourists will be able to get the benefit of drinking juice.

The importance of water in Ayurveda is priceless, as it keeps all the major elements of the body balanced. Along with water conservation, the usefulness of Ayurvedic beverages and medicines was also demonstrated through the “Jal Jagar” program in Dhamtari district. Ayurvedic doctors present in the exhibition explained the importance of Butigarh and Rasshala and gave information about how a family and society can live a healthy life by adopting pure water and Ayurvedic food.

Decoction being given for better mental and physical health

Ayurveda Medical Officer Dr. Avadh Pachauri said that, 160 types of herbs have been identified, out of which 25,000 plants have been planted in Butigarh in the first phase. There are some of these herbs which are being used in the form of powder or tablets for Ayurvedic treatment. With time, when Bootigarh starts developing, people can be made more aware of Ayurveda through Rasshala. Along with this, extinct herbs are also being preserved in Butigarh, so that research can be done on them in future. He told that at present, decoction made from various herbs in medicinal form is being given to the people, patients, pregnant women, teenagers and children who have come to various AYUSH centers for yoga, which will bring positive changes in the mental and physical health of the people. It is visible.

Arjun Ksheerpak is a panacea for heart patients.

According to Dr. Awadh Pachauri, since the Covid period, it is being seen continuously that people of any age group are dying on-the-spot due to sudden heart attack, not even getting time to save their lives. Which has become a matter of concern. In Ayurveda, regular consumption of 'Arjun Kshirpak' made from the bark of Arjun tree can reduce the cases of instant heart attack. Arjuna bark has special medicinal properties, which strengthen the arteries of the heart and give strength to the heart muscles. It is highly beneficial especially for those who have heart problems or are at high risk of heart attack.

Ayurvedic medicines are very beneficial in normal life

Giving information, District AYUSH Officer Dr. Gurudayal Sahu said that in the recent Jal Jagar Mahotsav held in the district, the medicinal properties of plants like munga (drumstick) were also displayed in the exhibition of the AYUSH department in the exhibition of Butigarh and Rasshala. In which the method of making green gram soup was explained. Also, extracts of various herbs were extracted through distillation process, from which medicines useful in everyday life could be prepared. The aim of Bootigarh and Rassala is to make the common people aware about the trees and plants full of medicinal properties. There are many Ayurvedic herbs available in our homes, the consumption of which can cure seasonal diseases. Dr. Gurudayal further explains that Rashi Ratna is also being inspired to plant trees. Nature is also being made comfortable by planting more and more medicinal plants and this step in water conservation is also commendable. Besides, medicinal plants also increase positivity in life.

Rasshala got its inspiration from the ancient text of Ayurveda, Rasashastra.

Rasashastra, one of the ancient texts of Ayurveda, describes many methods of making medicines. In these processes, different instruments were used, through which medicines were purified and prepared. Maharishi Nagarjuna is considered the father of these methods. These medicines are especially used in the treatment of diseases. In ancient times, Ayurvedacharyas used many types of instruments. Like Dola Yantra, Ulukhal Yantra, Kachhap Yantra, and Swedani Yantra. Medicines were made from these instruments, which are effective in many diseases even today. Medicinal juices, extracts, decoctions and drinks are made from fresh herbs through Ayush Rasshala. These medicines increase the body's immunity and prove beneficial in many diseases.
