Dehradun, 09 October (HS). Doon Police has busted an interstate human trafficking gang on Wednesday. Two members of the gang (male and female) have been arrested. The female accused is divorced. While the male accused is a resident of Uttar Pradesh. Also, the police have rescued three girls from their clutches. Both of these accused had brought the girls from Delhi to Dehradun for selling. The gang has links with other states also. A police team from Dehradun has left for non-province to arrest other members.
Actually, ISBT post received information that three girls, who probably seem to have come from some other state, were roaming in suspicious condition in ISBT area. She is telling that someone has brought them to Dehradun for buying and selling. In view of the seriousness of the information, the three girls were immediately brought to the police post and the team of Anti Human Trafficking Unit and Child Line was called. When the team took information from the three girls, they told that some people had brought them from Delhi to Dehradun by luring them with good money and a job. He was left with a woman and a man in a flat in Dehradun. At night, the three girls heard the woman and another man present in the house talking to the people who had brought them, about buying and selling them for Rs 1 lakh 10 thousand. A girl already present in the house also informed about the girls who were bought and brought to do wrong things. On this, the three girls got scared and ran away from there by jumping down from the balcony with the help of a sheet at night.
On the instructions of Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Singh, a joint team of Anti Human Trafficking Unit and Patel Nagar Police immediately raided a flat located in Ved City Colony in Pathribagh, the place mentioned by the girls, and detained a woman and a man present on the spot. . During interrogation, the woman revealed her name as Bala (48), wife Satpal Yadav (divorced), resident of Mehta Associate Ved City Colony, Pathribagh Patelnagar and the man revealed his name as Digvijay Singh (45), son of Rampal Sharma, resident of Mustafapur Nawada, Nagaon, Sadat district, Amroha, Uttar Pradesh.
Bought girls from fellow resident of Ghaziabad
On strictly interrogating both the accused, they told that they had bought the three girls from their friends Poonam, Khushi and another person resident of Ghaziabad for sale and had brought the girls from Delhi by luring them with a good job and money.
Police team left for other provinces to arrest other members
For being involved in a serious crime like human trafficking, the police team arrested both of them on the spot and registered a case against them under relevant sections of BNS at Kotwali Patel Nagar. During interrogation, information has been found that the gang has links with other states also. Information in this regard is also being collected from other states. Teams have been sent to other states to arrest other gang members.
