Varanasi, 09 October (Hindustan Reporter). State President of Sanatan Rakshak Dal Ajay Sharma, who got the Sai idol removed from the temples of religious city Kashi, was released from jail on Wednesday. The bail application of Ajay Sharma, accused of removing Sai idols from temples and immersing them in Ganga, was accepted by the court of Special CJM Ashwini Kumar on Tuesday. The state president of Sanatan Raksha Dal, resident of Badi Piyari of Chowk area, got bail after submitting a personal bond of Rs 25 thousand and presenting two sureties with the same amount.
Ajay Sharma was arrested in this case on October 3. A case was registered against him in the case of removal of Sai idols and the police sent him to jail on suspicion of disturbing peace. Senior advocate Vivek Shankar Tiwari, on behalf of accused Ajay Sharma, presented his case strongly in the court. He had raised questions on the police action. A case was registered against Ajay Sharma on the complaint of Chaitanya Vyas, priest of Anandamayi Hanuman located at Chowk Resham Katra. Inspector Vimal Mishra, in-charge of Chowk police station, had applied for judicial remand in the registered case. On this, the court had ordered to produce Ajay Sharma from jail on Tuesday.
