Khunti, 9 October (Hindustan Reporter). On Wednesday, the seventh day of Shardiya Navratri, with the entry of Navpatrika in various puja pandals, the entire Khunti district got immersed in the devotion of Goddess Durga. Are the devotional songs and bhajans playing through loudspeakers everywhere in the cities, villages and villages making the entire atmosphere devotional? With the arrival of the Goddess, the doors of all the puja pandals were opened. With this, apart from Mata Rani, worshiping of other established idols started in the pandals.
Earlier in the morning, people from different pandals went to various reservoirs with musical instruments. After worshiping with full rituals on the banks of the reservoir, Nav Patrika Devi was brought to the pandals in a palanquin from the reservoir accompanied by musical instruments. While bringing the new magazine, the devotion and faith of the devotees was visible. After the entry of Nav Patrika Devi in the pandals, there was a competition among the devotees to pay obeisance to the Mother Goddess. Later, after eye donation and Saptami puja, Prasad was distributed. Crowds of devotees kept gathering throughout the day to see the grand pandals along with Mata Rani.
Apart from the district headquarters, Durga festival started in other rural and town areas including Torpa, Karra, Jariagarh, Rania, Murhu Baba Amreshwar Dham, Sundari, Raisemla, Tapkara.
