The police present at the spot intervened, separated the two and took the MLA away from there. But people from the other group surrounded the Sadar MLA and started beating him. Talking to the media after this incident, MLA Yogesh Verma said, 'Today is the election of Urban Cooperative Bank, BJP workers had come to collect nominations. During this time he was abused. First, trade union leader Raju Aggarwal was beaten and his pamphlet was torn. When I came to meet him, lawyer Awadhesh Singh also laughed at me.

The MLA further said, 'Awadhesh Singh has made a big mistake by slapping me. Now they are having to suffer the heavy consequences of this. When this incident happened to me, the administration became active. 'People's pamphlets are being torn by Awadhesh Singh and Company.' Also, on behalf of Awadhesh Singh, the MLA has been accused of tearing the voter list and arbitrarily influencing the elections.
