UP ByElection: Samajwadi Party has announced the names of candidates on 6 seats for the by-elections to be held in UP. The party has fielded Tej Pratap Yadav on Karahal assembly seat. SP President Akhilesh Yadav was elected MLA from this seat, but after becoming MP, this seat became vacant. Similarly, Naseem Solanki from Sisamau assembly seat, Mustafa Siddiqui from Phulpur, Ajit Prasad from Milkipur, Shobhawati Verma from Katehari and Dr. Jyoti Bind from Manjwa assembly seat have been made candidates.

By-elections will be held on 10 assembly seats

By-elections are to be held on 10 assembly seats of UP, for which all the parties have made preparations. SP has not declared candidates on the other four seats, hence discussions are going on about alliance with Congress. Let us tell you that in the by-elections, Congress had demanded five seats from SP, but from the announcement of candidates on six seats, it has become clear that SP has refused to accept the Congress formula.

Importance of familyism in SP list

In the list of 6 candidates announced by SP, importance has been given to familyism. Akhilesh has made his family member Tej Pratap the candidate from Karahal. Ajit, son of Faizabad (Ayodhya) MP Awadhesh Prasad, has been given ticket from Milkipur.
