Jalandhar: 9 more arrested for supplying drugs abroad through courier, police also named 6 customs officers

Jalandhar: Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has arrested 9 more accused who were supplying drugs abroad through courier service. 10 kg opium has been recovered from him. DGP Gaurav Yadav gave information about this network supplying drugs abroad. He told that earlier the police had arrested three accused from Jharkhand with 12 kg of opium.

After interrogating them, 9 more drug smugglers have been arrested. Some of these accused are from Jharkhand and some are from Punjab. Till now, a total of 22 kg of opium has been recovered from all the accused. He told that after investigation, Jalandhar Police has seized about 30 bank accounts, drug money worth Rs 9 crore is lying in those accounts. Backward and forward links of all accounts are being investigated. The investigation will reveal how much money was transferred, where and how. After which other accused related to the case will also be arrested. Six custom officers are also named in this case.

Jalandhar Police has also named 6 customs officers posted at Delhi Airport in this case. Recently, the city police had broken the chain of accused supplying drugs abroad. In which it was revealed that the said drug was going abroad from Delhi Airport. When the investigation into the case started, 6 customs officials were identified.

Who used to send drugs to Britain, America, Australia and Canada. Everyone was named in the case. Soon he will be arrested after talking to senior officials.
