Palamu, October 8 (HS). Administrative security arrangements are being tightened regarding Durga Puja. In this series, a flag march was conducted in Medininagar Town police station area under the leadership of District Deputy Commissioner Shashi Ranjan and Superintendent of Police Rishma Ramesan on Tuesday evening. The objective of the flag march was to strengthen law and order during Durga Puja and create a sense of security among the city residents. Administrative officials and police forces together patrolled the major roads of Medininagar.
On the occasion, DC Shashi Ranjan said that Durga Puja is an important religious and cultural event and it is the priority of the administration to conduct it peacefully and safely. SP Reeshma Ramesan also appealed to the city residents to cooperate with the administration and immediately inform the police about any suspicious activity.
During the flag march, the police force concentrated especially on crowded areas and sensitive areas in the area. Also, people were made aware of security through public address system. On this occasion, the officials also ensured that adequate number of security personnel will be deployed at all the puja pandals and main places, so that any untoward incident can be dealt with.
