An incident of glass breaking of half a dozen vehicles has come to light in the municipal parking lot in front of the old Ashok Talkies located at the police station and DIG office in the tourist city of Nainital. Parking operators are said to be compensating for their losses. However, this incident is believed to be the act of anti-social elements.
The victim, Dehradun resident Ankit Rawat, said that the front glass of his car was broken. This has caused a loss of Rs 25 to 30 thousand. Similarly, glasses of other vehicles have also been broken. All the victims have complained about this to the police. City Kotwali Senior Police Inspector PS Mehra said that information about the incident has been received. However, no written complaint has been given. Talks are underway to reach a settlement with the parking operators for compensation for the victims. Police will take strict action against them in future.
