School Holidays 2024: There is good news for school students. Like the month of September, there are going to be a lot of school holidays in October too. This includes Dussehra, Diwali and weekly holidays.
Apart from the festivals of Dussehra, Diwali, Bhai Dooj, Govardhan Puja, there will be public holidays across the country on 6th, 13th, 20th October and 27th October due to Sunday being a weekly holiday.
When and where will schools be closed in October
- Navratri and Dussehra holiday has been declared in Chhattisgarh from 7 to 13 October 2024, that is, schools will remain closed for a total of 6 days including second Saturday and Sunday. Apart from this, all schools will remain closed due to Dhanteras on 29th October, Narak Chaudas on 30th October, Diwali or Lakshmi Puja on 31st October, Govardhan Puja on 1st November and Bhai Dooj on 2nd November.
- Schools will remain closed in Odisha from 20 to 29 October. In Madhya Pradesh Rajasthan also, all schools will remain closed due to Dussehra, Diwali, Dhanteras, Narak Chaudas, Diwali, Govardhan Puja and Bhai Dooj.
- Schools will remain closed in Bihar on 6 October (Sunday), 10 October (Durga Ashtami), 11 October (Durga Navami), 12 October (Vijayadashami), 13 October (Sunday), 20 October (Sunday), 27 October (Sunday). ) and 31 October (Diwali holiday).
- The Telangana government has declared Dussehra and Badhukamma holidays in schools till October 14. Classes will resume on October 15.
