1. Blood sugar will increase
Smoking cigarettes increases the blood sugar level. It is very difficult for diabetic patients to control glucose levels. Tobacco can also reduce the effectiveness of many types of medications, including diabetes. If diabetes is not controlled, the risk of heart diseases increases.
2. High blood pressure
People who smoke a lot often suffer from high blood pressure, which can cause the blood vessels to swell and put the arteries at risk of getting damaged. Most of us know that high BP can cause heart attack.
3. Effect on blood circulation
While smoking damages the arteries, it also affects blood circulation. In such a situation, oxygen does not reach many parts of the body properly through blood and then complaints like body ache, pain in legs may occur.
4. Cholesterol level will increase
Smoking can increase the risk of high cholesterol levels and coronary artery disease. Smoking lowers HDL (good cholesterol) and increases LDL (bad cholesterol). If this is not controlled, a heart attack is almost certain.
