New Delhi: The current President of Maldives, who has always been pro-China and anti-India, has recently visited India. Before coming to India, he had said in a conversation with the media that we are confident that if Maldives faces any economic crisis, India will help it. Jenita Muizzu had by now changed her tone to give anti-India statements. There are reports that Muizzu has come to India in the hope of help as Maldives is currently in economic crisis.

Muijju has come to India for the second consecutive time this year. The President of Maldives, who arrived in India on his five-day visit, was welcomed by Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh. During the five-day visit, Muizzu will meet Indian President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other leaders. This is his first bilateral visit to India. Earlier, he had also come to Delhi in June to participate in the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This time he is also likely to visit Mumbai and Bengaluru. Along with Muizzu, his wife Sajida Mohammad also reached India.

Before his tour, Muizzu had also praised India. He said that India is one of the big friendly countries involved in the development of Maldives. Whatever challenges Maldives faces, India will definitely help us. Exactly a year ago, Muizzu had instigated the people of Maldives against India. The ministers of his government made statements against India. Whereas Muizzo himself had tried to please China by adopting an anti-India stance in the election campaign. Now that he has come on India tour, he is getting praises. There has also been a dispute between the two countries because of Muizzu and his ministers.

While talking to the media, Muizzu said that we will resolve any dispute between the two countries through dialogue. Only last month, global agency Moody's had reduced the credit rating of Maldives. Maldives is currently facing an economic crisis. Amidst this situation, Muizzu, who came to India, is expecting help from India. After coming to India, Muizzu first met Foreign Minister S. Met Jaishankar. Jaishankar shared the picture of both of them on social media and said that the meeting of Muizzu and Modi will strengthen the relations between the two countries.
