Rain in Junagadh: South-west monsoon has already departed from more than 60 percent of Gujarat. However, post-monsoon rains were predicted over parts of South Gujarat and Saurashtra as heat levels continued to rise over Gujarat amid the departing monsoon. Under this, rainy weather was seen in Junagadh and Gir Somnath districts this afternoon.
It rained in Junagadh and Panthak village of Gir Somnath district this afternoon. After which the fun of the players was spoiled because it started raining again late in the night. Along with this, Garba organizers were also worried. At many places, Garba organizers have been forced to cancel the program.
Rain showers also started in Keshod of Junagadh district late in the evening. The players were busy playing Garba when it started raining and there was chaos in the Garba ground. Some players wearing traditional attire were seen running to escape the rain. The sound system installed in the Garba ground was also covered with plastic.
Renowned meteorologist Paresh Goswami has predicted that monsoon is still active over Bhavnagar, Junagadh, Amreli and Gir-Somnath in Saurashtra as well as parts of South Gujarat. Due to which the amount of moisture is increasing. Apart from this, the temperature has also been increasing continuously since last few days. If the temperature continues to rise like this in the coming days, then there may be post-monsoon rain in different parts of Gujarat for five days from October 8.
