Purnia, 05 October (Hindustan Reporter). Purnia MP Pappu Yadav today visited Mala Harinator Panchayat of Bayasi block of Kishanganj Lok Sabha constituency. He inspected the flood affected areas in ward numbers 03, 05 and 08 and met the affected families.
The MP distributed Rs 50,000 in cash along with dry ration material as immediate relief to the flood victims. More than 50 houses have been destroyed and many people rendered homeless due to river erosion in the area. Pappu Yadav spoke to the Chief Engineer and Executive Engineer on phone and asked them to take immediate measures to stop river erosion. He said that they are committed to provide all possible help to the flood victims and concrete steps will soon be taken to stop the erosion.
