Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday transferred more than Rs 20 thousand crore directly into the accounts of more than 94 million farmers of the country from Washim district of Maharashtra as the 18th installment of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today virtually participated in the online transfer program of the 18th installment of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi from the Science College grounds of the capital Raipur.
He expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for transferring an amount of more than Rs 566 crore 77 lakh to the accounts of more than 24 lakh 98 thousand farmers of the state as the 18th installment of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi. On this occasion, Sai congratulated and congratulated the farmers of the state.
Chief Minister Sai said on this occasion that compared to the 17th installment of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi, this time 66 thousand 485 more farmers have taken advantage of the scheme. Even before this, the number of farmers who took advantage of the 17th installment was 1 lakh 11 thousand 518 more as compared to the 16th installment. He said that the increase in the number of farmers benefiting from installment after installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is a proof of how fast India's agricultural sector is progressing. This is also a proof of the strong trust of farmers on the Modi government. Sai said that among the farmer brothers and sisters of Chhattisgarh who are benefiting today under the 18th installment, 2 lakh 49 thousand 867 are forest lease holders and 30 thousand 408 farmers are benefiting under the PVTG scheme. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the progress of farmers in the country is making the slogan of Jai Jawan-Jai Kisan meaningful.
