Saharanpur, 05 October (HS). A joint team of National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) raided Deoband on Saturday morning and detained a suspicious person. The team has seized a laptop from him. The team has taken him with them to Delhi.
According to NIA sources, on Saturday morning, a joint team of NIA and ATS has detained a person near Bada Darwaza located in Mohalla Khankah of Deoband on suspicion of terrorist conspiracy and terror funding. He is originally from Bihar. After completing his education in a madrassa in the city in the year 2008, he was currently working in a Qutub Khana (book shop).
ATS had also reached the ATS center of Deoband, taking the youth and his wife with them. After a long interrogation, she was released and took the suspect with her to Delhi. A laptop was also found from the young man, which has been taken into custody by the NIA.
According to sources, ATS has also raided Sarurpur in Meerut and arrested a youth. The team has taken him with them.
