External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar attended the Sardar Patel Lecture organized by the IC Center for Governance in Delhi. In his address at this program, S Jaishankar also mentioned his visit to Pakistan. He expressed concern over the ongoing conflict between Lebanon and Israel.
The Foreign Minister further said in the lecture that the situation in the Middle East is really worrying. Which will affect India. He said, “To be honest, today whether it is war in Ukraine or conflict in the Middle East, West Asia is a major cause of instability.” I think the whole world including India is worried about this.
'I am not going to Pakistan for bilateral talks'
Regarding the SCO conference, S Jaishankar said that I am not going to Pakistan for India-Pakistan bilateral talks. He said, 'I am going to Pakistan in the middle of this month to attend the SCO Heads of Government meeting… Of course, I plan to go… You plan what you do. There are many things you don't want to do but can. I mean, you plan for that too. So I expect there will be a lot of media interest in it, because that's the nature of the relationship… But I would say it will be a multidimensional event. I mean I am not going to discuss India-Pakistan relations there. I am going there as a good member of SCO..'
