Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar will visit Pakistan on 15-16 October. Meanwhile, he will attend the SCO Heads of Government (CHG) meeting in Islamabad. This will be the first time in 9 years that an Indian minister will visit Pakistan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was invited by Pakistan for the SCO meeting on 29 August. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has given a big statement regarding this meeting.
What did S Jaishankar say on Pakistan tour?
On his upcoming visit to Pakistan to attend the SCO Summit, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar said, this visit will be for a multilateral program. I am not going to discuss India-Pakistan relations there. As a good member SCO, you know I am a polite and decent person, so I will behave accordingly.
Leaders of these countries are also reaching Islamabad
Regarding Foreign Minister S Jaishankar's visit to Pakistan, Home Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that Foreign Minister Jaishankar will represent India in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting in Islamabad. A delegation will also come with him.
It is noteworthy that the SCO summit will be held in Islamabad on 15-16 October. Apart from India and Pakistan, top leaders of Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will also participate in this meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
The issue of terrorism was raised in the last meeting
Earlier, a meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization was held in Astana on 3-4 July. If PM Modi could not attend this meeting, then Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar participated in the conference. During this, he asked to isolate and expose the countries supporting terrorists.
