Vadodara News: Like every year, this year too the people of Vadodara will celebrate Dussehra festival on the tenth day after worshiping Mataji for nine days of Navratri. Preparations have been made for it. Like every year, this year too huge effigies of Ravana, Meghdoot and Kumbhakarna have been made. For more than 42 years, the North Indian Culture Association has been organizing Ramlila and Ravana Dahan at the Polo Ground in the city.

Then like every year, this year also Ramlila and Ravana Dahan program has been organized at the Polo Ground. For which a huge 50 feet statue of Ravana has been prepared. The statues of Kumbhakarna and Meghdoot have also been made 40 feet high. Sticks, bamboo, cloth, rope and crows have been used to make this idol. 22 artisans worked hard for a month to make this statue and soon the statue was ready.
After worshiping the nine forms of Mataji for nine days of Navratri, Vijayadashami day is celebrated on the tenth day. People of Vadodara celebrate this festival every year in colorful ways. Every year lakhs of people throng the city to watch the Ravana Dahan program. Also, a huge crowd of people gathers to watch the Ramlila programme.
