Mumbai: Film actor Govinda, who was injured by accidental firing from his own revolver, has finally been discharged from the hospital. Today, as soon as he came out of the hospital, he greeted everyone with folded hands and publicly thanked his fans who prayed for his recovery.
Govindo came out on a wheelchair as he had undergone leg surgery. It is learned that doctors have advised him to take complete rest for four weeks. After this he will also have to undergo physiotherapy for a long time.
Let us tell you that on October 1 last, Govinda was injured in the leg by a bullet fired from his own revolver at his home. According to Govinda's claim, when he was going to Kolkata in the morning, the revolver slipped from his hand in his haste. Since the revolver was very old, the lock part was defective. So its lock was opened and suddenly a bullet was fired from it.
However, the Mumbai Police investigating the case did not give much credence to Govinda's theory. They have taken the statements of Govinda and his family members and have also seized the revolver for forensic examination.
Govinda is currently a member of Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde's ruling party Shiv Sena and hence the police is proceeding cautiously in the investigation of the case. No formal complaint has been filed yet in this matter.
Many actors including Raveena Tandon, Shatrughan Sinha, Rajpal Yadav came to meet Govinda in the hospital. Shatrughan quashes all doubts as to how Govinda was shot.
