– Union Minister of State, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution reviewed various schemes being run by the Government of India in Kanpur.
Kanpur, 04 October (HS). Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Nimuben Jayanti Bhai Bambhaniya reached the industrial city Kanpur on Friday.
He planted trees in the tree plantation program organized by the Food Corporation of India Divisional Office, Kanpur under the 'One Tree in the Name of Mother' initiative by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and also extended best wishes for Navratri. On this occasion, he was welcomed by the officers and employees of the Food Corporation of India Divisional Office by presenting him a sapling.
Appealing to all the people present on this occasion, the Union Minister of State said that the tree plantation done by you will prove to be very helpful in the direction of environmental protection. During this, various schemes being run in Kanpur division as per the instructions of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India were reviewed.
Divisional Manager Nitin Verma gave information about the work being done under the guidance of Food Corporation of India General Manager HS Dhaliwal and Deputy General Manager Vinod Kumar. He also discussed the modern methods being used in food grain distribution and storage such as grain ATMs, automatic grain analysers, silos and the schemes being run for the benefit of farmers as well as the digital platforms being used in the Food Corporation of India under the Digital India Mission. Gave information about QMS, WINGS, DOS, HRMS etc.
Expressing satisfaction over the functioning of the corporation, the minister also shared some outlines of the government's plans to make distribution and warehousing more modern. The Minister said that he appreciated all the employees and management of the Food Corporation of India for their contribution during the Corona period. He said that it is a good effort in Food Corporation of India to bring digital revolution along with food revolution.
During this time, Manager Piyush Gupta, Vaibhav Gupta and Manager JP Bharti and many other officers and employees of Food Corporation of India were also present.
