Digital Arrest Case in Agra: A painful and sensational incident has come to light from Agra. There, a teacher who became a victim of cyber fraud was so shocked that she died of a heart attack. The incident occurred on September 30, when 58-year-old Malti Verma received a fake WhatsApp call on her mobile. The caller told him, 'Your daughter is trapped in some wrongdoing, send one lakh rupees to save her.' The woman's son later revealed that it was a hoax call, but the woman was so shocked that she suffered a heart attack four hours later.

Teacher Malti Verma was working in Political Girls Junior High School, Achhnera. He received a WhatsApp call in which the caller identified himself as a police officer. The caller said, 'Your daughter is trapped in a sex racket and to free her, one lakh rupees will have to be sent immediately.' Maltibahan was so frightened by this call that she immediately contacted her son Divyanshu and asked him to send money. During the call, the fraudster used a DP dressed as a police officer to scare Maltibehan. He threatened Maltibehan that 'if the money is not sent immediately, her daughter's video will be made viral and she will be sent to jail.' Frightened after hearing this, Maltibhan called her son and asked him to transfer the money immediately. After which Divyanshu asked his mother for the number of the caller and after seeing the number he immediately recognized that it was a fraud call. This number was starting with Pakistani code.

The thugs kept Malti Varman under digital arrest for four hours. During this period, 8 calls were made to him. When the woman's son Divyanshu came to know about it, Divyanshu tried hard to convince his mother that it was a fraud. Sister is completely safe. Divyanshu also contacted his sister Vanshika and through video call came to know that she was safe in the college. Even after that, Malti Verma could not recover from the mental trauma she had received from that fraud call.

Malti Verma could not recover from fear and mental stress after the digital arrest. While returning home from school his health started deteriorating. The family took him to the hospital but four hours later he suffered a heart attack and died.

After the death of Malti Verma, her family is in shock. In this whole matter, ACP of Agra said that 'This matter is being investigated in depth and soon strict action will be taken against the culprits.'
