Gujarat Tourism: Gujarat is emerging as a leading destination in the tourism sector. In the year 2023-24, Gujarat received the highest number of tourists and this figure crossed 18 crores. According to the recent information given by the State Tourism Department, a total of more than 18.59 crore tourists came to Gujarat in the year 2023-24.
The state is continuously making good progress on all fronts with tourism, employment, spiritual and industrial development. Gujarat is emerging as an attractive destination in the tourism sector.
Out of the total 18.59 crore tourists who visited Gujarat in 2023-24, 17.50 crore were domestic tourists and more than 23.43 lakh tourists came from abroad.
11.38 crore tourists stayed for one day. While 7.21 crore tourists stayed overnight. It is worth noting here that the number of tourists visiting Gujarat in the year 2022-23 was 14.98 crore. In comparison, there has been a jump of 24.07 percent in the number of tourists during the year 2023-24.
