Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Retd.) said during a dialogue program at Haryana Military Station that ex-servicemen are my extended family, efforts will be made to solve their problems. He assured to convey all the suggestions to the competent level and take appropriate action as much as possible.

Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Retd.) on Thursday met the ex-servicemen gathered at the military station at Chandi Mandir in Panchkula, Haryana and discussed in detail various issues related to their welfare. On this occasion, the Governor addressed the problems faced by ex-servicemen in ECHS and CSD facilities, pension problems of ex-servicemen, suggested the experiences of ex-servicemen and taking advantage of their services. He said that every ex-serviceman is ready to contribute something to the country and society.

Highest level training of firefighters

The Governor said that the training and capability of the Agniveers is of the highest level, which will infuse youthful energy into the army. He described this scheme as extremely important for nation building and national security. This will not only increase the representation of youth in the armed forces but also encourage a sense of healthy competition among them. The Governor said that he has talked to many commanders who train fire fighters. During this, he described the passion and training of the firefighters as amazing.

visited the museum

Before this, the Governor visited the museum depicting the golden history of Western Command. Here he inspected the documents, records and memorabilia of the museum. Seeing this museum of historical importance, he said that he felt proud to see that out of 21, 11 Paramveer Chakras have been received by this command. He paid tribute to the brave soldiers and remembered their unforgettable contribution.

During this time, the Governor visited the Veer Smriti Sthal located at the Western Command Headquarters and paid his tribute to the brave martyrs by offering a wreath. Many former military officers and ex-servicemen were present on this occasion. During his visit to Haryana, the Governor visited and offered prayers at Mata Mansa Devi temple and prayed for the happiness, prosperity and welfare of the citizens of the country and the state.
