Jabalpur, 3 October (Hindustan Reporter). A speeding bike collided with a school van in Patan on Thursday afternoon. In this incident, four children sitting in the van were injured, out of which the condition of two is said to be critical.
It is said that the children studying in Aadhaar Public School left for home after the holidays. The van had reached near Patan toll naka when suddenly the driver applied brakes, due to which two youths coming from behind, Sanju Mallah and Raju, both residents of Hardua village riding a bike, collided directly with the rear of the van. The speed of the bike was so high that the rear part of the van and the bike were badly damaged. After the incident, the local people, using their own resources, took the injured children to Patan Civil Hospital for treatment. Two children and a bike rider suffered serious injuries in the incident, who have been referred to the medical college for treatment. More than 12 children were sitting in the van. A bike rider also suffered a chest injury and is in a critical condition.
After getting information about the incident, Patan police station reached the spot and registered a case against the bike rider and the van driver and started investigation. The age of the children injured in the accident is 8 to 10 years.
