Chandigarh: BJP has suffered a big setback during the Haryana Assembly Elections 2024 (Haryana Elections 2024). Ashok Tanwar has left the party and joined Congress again.

Ashok Tanwar returned to the party on Thursday in the presence of Rahul Gandhi. Former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda welcomed him by giving him the party flag.

Ashok Tanwar was the first President of Haryana Congress. After this, Rahul Gandhi and Bhupendra Singh joined Trinamool Congress accusing HUDA. Then joined Aam Aadmi Party.

After this BJP took it under its control. In the Lok Sabha elections 2024, he contested against Kumari Shailja on BJP ticket from Sirsa. However, he had to face defeat.

Voting will take place simultaneously on all 90 seats of Haryana on October 5. BJP has suffered a big blow with Ashok Tanwar joining Congress two days before voting.
