Farmers expressed their anger regarding their demands by sitting on the railway tracks at about 35 places in Punjab at 12:30 pm. Bharatiya Kisan Union (Ekta Sidhupur) is protesting at Verka railway station in Amritsar. Apart from this, farmers have also blocked the track at Valla and other railway gates.

After warning of farmers' strike, strict security arrangements have been made by GRP and Punjab Police. Due to the farmers' strike, there will be no significant impact on the trains coming and going to the railway station. Farmers will protest from 12:30 to 2:30.

Know which train will be affected

During this period, only Flying (14650) train departing from Amritsar at 01:05 pm will be affected. Due to the ongoing work at Jalandhar Railway Station, Shatabdi Express from New Delhi to Amritsar is already reaching Phagwara and returning from here.

Apart from this, Shan-e-Punjab Express scheduled to depart at 03:05 pm and Nangal Dam Express scheduled to depart at 02:05 pm have already been canceled till October 9.

It is noteworthy that farmers organizations are blocking this track with their demands.
