As Shardiya Navratri begins from today, devotees are thronging Mataji's temples across the state. There is a queue of devotees for darshan since morning. A large number of devotees have gathered to see Pavagadh. Aircraft operations have started since morning. ST service has been extended from Champaner to Machi. Besides, police is also deployed to prevent any untoward incident. As Navratri has arrived and the worship of Maa Aadya Shakti has begun, the mythological pilgrimage site Pavagadh, which is Shakti Peetha, has seen a rush of devotees on the first day of Navratri.
Right from the morning devotees started climbing the stairs and running to get a glimpse of Mataji.
Since there will be a lot of rain this year and there is a possibility of rain on the first day also, the sky will be clear on the first day and there is no possibility of rain. On the day of Navratri, the crowd of devotees had started gathering from early morning itself and Devotees had gathered in large numbers to watch Mangala Aarti. Private vehicles are prohibited from going from Champaner towards Machi.

So that there is no traffic jam and special ST bus routes have also been extended for the devotees to go from Champaner to Machi. Besides, special and strict police arrangements have been made to prevent any untoward incident.
