Punjab weather update: The weather will be clear in Punjab and Chandigarh today (Thursday). No alert of any kind of rain etc. has been issued. With this, the weather will start changing from this evening. There is a possibility of rain in six districts of the state tomorrow and Friday. These districts include Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Firozpur and Fazilka.
However, an increase of 1.2 degrees has been recorded in the maximum temperature of the state. It is increasing by 2.2 degrees above normal temperature. The highest temperature recorded in Faridkot was 39 degrees. Along with this, according to meteorologists, winter will knock at the end of this month, while the monsoon season is now completely over.
According to the Meteorological Department, this time the monsoon entered the state on June 27 and covered the entire Punjab by July 2. Whereas by October 2 the monsoon had returned. The state has received 314.6 mm rainfall from June 1 to September 30, which is 439.8 percent less than normal. Four districts of the state, Pathankot, Amritsar, Faridkot and Patiala, have received only normal rainfall.
There has been excess rainfall in one district and less rainfall in 17 districts. Tarn Taran district received the highest rainfall at 48 percent and Bathinda received the least rainfall at 59 percent. If seen month wise, it was 29.2 mm less (46 percent) in June and 89.6 mm (44 percent less) in July.
Whereas there was normal rainfall in August. Meanwhile, 156.1 mm or 7 percent less rainfall was recorded. 89.5 mm 45 percent less rainfall was recorded in September. However, it was kept in the normal category.

Mohali- Yesterday the maximum temperature was recorded at 35.3 degrees. The sky will be clear today. Today the temperature can remain between 29 to 38 degrees.
