Anuppur, 2 October (Hindustan Reporter). District level closing ceremony of Swachhta Hi Seva 2024 fortnight was organized on the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi in the premises of Government School of Excellence, Anuppur, District Headquarters, Anuppur. State Coal Development Authority Chairman (Cabinet Minister status) Ramlal Rauteel, District Panchayat President Preeti Ramesh Singh, District Panchayat Vice President Parvati Rathore, Collector Harshal Pancholi, District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Tanmay Vashishtha Sharma, Joint Collector Dilip Pandey, SDM were present in the program. Students including Anuppur Deepshikha Bhagat participated. In the program, State Coal Development Authority Chairman Ramlal Rauteil explained the importance of cleanliness and appealed to the people to adopt cleanliness.

The Chairman of the State Coal Development Authority administered the oath of cleanliness and drug addiction to the people and said on cleanliness and drug addiction that how we can make our city, district and country a leader by imagining and continuous efforts for a clean and developed country.

Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat said that special Shramdaan Day and cleanliness rally and other activities were conducted in 562 villages of Anuppur district. In which 14050 people donated labor and rallies were organized in various villages and 16000 people participated in the signature campaign. Under the Swachhta Pakhwada, signature campaigns, cleanliness dialogue, cleanliness oath, naming a tree as mother, honoring cleanliness friends and health check-up were organised. Under the special activity of cleanliness, a program was organized in 36 villages adjacent to the banks of Narmada and the message of awareness about cleanliness was given to the citizens. Demo sessions on single use plastic, collection of plastic waste under clean up drives, waste segregation were conducted.

Cleaning workers doing excellent work were honored

During this period, sanitation workers who did excellent work were honoured. In which the sanitation workers of Municipality Anuppur, Jaikara Domar, Nema Domar, Ashok Shane, Saraswati Mogre and Savita Mogre were honored with citations for doing better work in keeping the city clean and neat.

Benefit letters distributed to beneficiaries benefited from various schemes

In the program, certificates were distributed to Ladli Lakshmi Tulsi, Prisha Gupta, Ritika Rathore and Anika Prajapati, beneficiaries under Ladli Laxmi Yojana run by the Women and Child Development Department.

Free bicycles distributed to 10 students

In the program, the District Education Center Department honored Hiravati Devi, Pooja Devi, Pushpalata Devi, Shekhi Bai and Sapna Devi, students of Government Higher Secondary School Amdari and Devendra Kumar, Hansraj Yadav, Hetram Singh, Pradeep Singh and Vijay Kumar, students of Government Secondary School Dhirutola. Free bicycles were distributed.

Officers and employees who did excellent work under the cleanliness campaign were honored

In the program, District Coordinator Jan Abhiyan Parishad Anuppur Umesh Pandey, who did excellent work under the cleanliness campaign on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, District Sports Instructor Sports and Youth Welfare Department Anuppur Ramchandra Yadav, Yoga Instructor AYUSH Department Anuppur Nayan Kumar Mishra, Bhruti Government Tulsi College Anuppur Vikas Khande Farrat, servant of Government Excellent Higher Secondary School Anuppur Rajesh Verma and sweeper of Government Higher Secondary School Model Anuppur Rajni Rajvendra were honored with citation.
