Patna, 02 October (HS). On the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar garlanded the huge life-size statue of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi located at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Remembering Gandhi's personality and work, he resolved to implement his ideals in life.
On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Mamrat Chaudhary, Assembly Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar, Rural Affairs Minister Ashok Chaudhary, Food and Consumer Protection Minister Leshi Singh, Information and Public Relations Minister Maheshwar Hazari were present. Many social and political activists including others paid their respects to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi by garlanding his statue.
On this occasion, Aarti puja, bhajan, kirtan, singing of Bihar songs and patriotic songs were also done by the Information and Public Relations Department. The Chief Minister also met Suresh Kumar Hajju, who arrived dressed as Gandhi.
