Guwahati, 02 October (HS). Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that the Congress Party should accept that there is ample potential for disinvestment in Assam. The Chief Minister said that he is in talks to bring big industries to Assam. He said that today the time has come when a developed state like Karnataka has started seeing Assam on the path of development. The Government of Karnataka has acknowledged that the establishment of Semiconductor will lead to rapid development of Assam. Assam will play a leading role in the field of semiconductor. The Chief Minister was talking to the media here today.
The Chief Minister said that during his rule of three and a half years, Assam is touching different heights of development. He said that there was a time when Assam was known as the land of extremism. But, today Assam is being recognized as a land of development. During this, the Chief Minister also spoke on many other issues.
