New Delhi: James Anderson completes 700 Test wickets: England's experienced fast bowler James Anderson created a Himalayan record in Test cricket on Saturday. Anderson has become the first fast bowler in the world to take 700 wickets in Test cricket. Anderson achieved this feat by dismissing Kuldeep Yadav on the third day of the ongoing fifth Test against India in Dharamsala.
Incidentally, James Anderson is the third bowler in the world to take 700 or more wickets in Test cricket. The record of taking most wickets in Test cricket is in the name of Sri Lanka's legendary off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan. Muralitharan has taken 800 test wickets. The second place in this list is occupied by Australia's great leg spinner Shane Warne. Late Shane Warne took 708 Test wickets.
