Faridabad, 1 October (Hindustan Reporter). The facility of In Vitro Fertilization i.e. IVF is going to start soon in ESIC Medical College and Hospital, Faridabad. Till now women were referred to Delhi for its treatment, but now this facility will be available in Faridabad only. A separate ward will be made for this facility in ESIC Medical College. This will include treatment with medications to stimulate ovulation, egg release, sperm collection, fertilization, embryo transfer, and pregnancy testing. A team has also been prepared for this.
As soon as the Directorate team starts inspection in the hospital, it will be started smoothly immediately. This center was completed in the hospital of ESIC Medical College one and a half years ago. Only the approval of the Health Ministry directive is yet to be received from the Centre, due to which it has not been operationalized yet. Dean of the hospital, Anil Kumar Pandey said that this IVF center has been built more than one and a half years ago. Treatment will be done using modern technology. He told that in this, women will be treated using laser, for which patients do not need to pay Rs 12 lakhs. He said that after the opening of this centre, women will not be referred to Delhi.
Earlier, the center Basai Darapur Institute was running in Delhi but when there were more cases of IVF, women were referred there. He said that if the patients coming to the hospital have insurance, they will not be charged a single penny and will get free treatment. The Dean said that a few days ago he received a letter in which it was written that a team from the Directorate would come to inspect the center and it would be started after the inspection.
