Bhopal, March 8 (HS). A grand Shiva procession is being organized in Rewa on Mahashivratri for many years. On the great festival of Mahashivratri, Shiva procession started from Baiju Dharamshala. The huge and attractive drum was the center of everyone's attraction in the wedding procession. At Baiju Dharamshala, Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla flagged off the Shiva procession after performing the rituals.
On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister said that there are many famous temples of Lord Shiva in our Vindhya region. The festival of Mahashivratri has been celebrated with traditional enthusiasm in Rewa city. The organization of Shiv Baraat has doubled this joy. The Shiva procession, which started in a small form, has today become very huge and grand. A huge Nagara has been included in this procession. After the Shiva procession, this drum will be dedicated to the grand Ramlala temple built in Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram. This huge drum will not only increase the prestige of Vindhya but the entire state in Shri Ram Temple.
Deputy Chief Minister performed Jalabhishek at Vishweshwarnath Shiv Temple in Dhera.
On Mahashivratri, Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla performed consort Jalabhishek and worship at Vishweshwarnath Shiv Temple located in his home village Dhera. Amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras, Lord Bholenath was duly anointed. He prayed to Lord Shiva for the welfare and development of the state and Vindhya.
Deputy Chief Minister Shukla also offered prayers at the Kuldevi temple in his home village Dhera and wished everyone well. The Deputy Chief Minister also participated in the Havan and Prasad distribution programme. On this occasion, Collector Mauganj Ajay Srivastava, Superintendent of Police Virendra Jain, local public representatives and family members of the Deputy Chief Minister were with him.
