Gradually the weather has started getting colder and with the change in weather many diseases and infections will start occurring. Due to weakening of immunity in the changing seasons, diseases make us easy victims. As winter approaches, cases of cold, cough and flu start increasing.
In such a situation, ginger is a good option to avoid this problem. Ginger is usually used to make tea or as a spice in vegetables, but do you know that you can make ginger pickle at home very easily. Today in this article we will tell you about the delicious and easy recipe of making ginger pickle.
Material
250 grams fresh ginger (peeled and cut into thin pieces)
2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
2 teaspoons mustard seeds
1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 cup vinegar (white or apple cider)
1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
1 teaspoon asafoetida (optional)
Method of preparation
In a large bowl, add salt-turmeric ginger, ground masala, red chilli powder, vinegar and sugar (if using) and mix well.
If you are using asafoetida, sprinkle a little of it into the mixture and mix everything again.
– Now put this prepared mixture in a clean jar. Also make sure the ginger is soaked in vinegar.
After this, close the jar tightly and keep it at room temperature for about a week. Keep mixing slowly in between.
After a week you can keep the pickle in the refrigerator
To make ginger pickle, first mix ginger pieces with salt and turmeric powder in a bowl.
Now let the ginger sit for about 30 minutes to release some moisture.
Then fry mustard and fenugreek seeds in a dry pan until a slight aroma comes out. – After this, let them cool and then grind them coarsely.
