Aizawl, 30 September (Hindustan Reporter). Tripura Governor Indrasen Reddy Nallu took the oath of office and secrecy as the Governor of Mizoram with additional charge. Gauhati High Court judge Nelson Cello administered the oath to Indrasena Reddy Nallu at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan on Monday. Chief Secretary Dr. Renu Sharma read out the appointment letter issued by the President of India.
The swearing-in ceremony of the Governor was attended by Chief Minister Lal Duhoma, Assembly Speaker Lal Bikajma, Home Minister K Sapdanga and some Cabinet members, Chief Secretary Dr. Renu Sharma, Lok Sabha Member Richard Wanlalhamangaiha, along with top government officials, other invitees and political personalities.
Let it be known that Indrasen Reddy Nallu is the Governor of Tripura. Mizoram Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kamhampati is on leave. Therefore President Draupadi Murmu appointed Indrasena Reddy Nallu as the temporary (acting) Governor with additional charge. He had reached Aizawl from Agartala last Sunday.
It is noteworthy that Indrasen Reddy Nallu was born on March 31, 1949 in Ganugbanda village of Nalgonda district of undivided Andhra Pradesh (now Telangana). His father is N Rama Reddy (deceased) and mother Hanumayamma (deceased). His wife's name is Renuka Nallu. He has three sons.
Indrasen Reddy Nallu was elected to the undivided Andhra Pradesh Assembly thrice in 1983, 1985 and 1999. In 2003 he became the state president of BJP. Indrasen Reddy Nallu was also appointed the national general secretary of the party in 2014.
