Nawada, 30 September (HS). Mehndi, painting, rangoli and essay competition was organized by Anganwadi workers, assistants and associates under the National Nutrition Month on Monday in the Child Development Project office premises located at Rajauli block headquarters of the district.
The chief guests of this program were Sub-Divisional Officer Aditya Kumar Piyush and Nawada DPO ICDS Nirupama Shankar. The SDO told during the program that the objective of Nutrition Month is to create awareness among the people that they should take special care of the health of women and children. Even today, there are many families in the poor and middle class whose children and women are not able to eat fully nutritious food. In such a situation, they unknowingly become victims of many diseases. Especially anemia disease is found more in lower class and middle class women and girls.
With this in mind, this event is organized every year by the state and central government. Which starts in the month of September. It was started from 2018. In such a situation, this year the seventh National Nutrition Month is being celebrated. In the program, DPO Nirupama Shankar said that Mehndi competition, painting competition, rangoli competition and essay competition were organized by Anganwadi workers, helpers and associates. In which the best participant was honored by the officials. The objective of this Nutrition Month being organized in the month of September is to create awareness among the public about health, nutrition and cleanliness. So that anemia and women related diseases can be eliminated.
